Job description
SPIE Global Service Energy currently hiring for Commissioning Supervisor – Instrumentation & Control System for Onshore Project in Basra, Iraq.
Its a rotational role- 28/28
Job Purpose-
Lead and supervise commissioning and start-up activities related to Commissioning Supervisor – Instrumentation & Control System systems on the onshore oil & gas project. Ensure commissioning tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements.
Main Responsibilities-
- Supervise commissioning of instrumentation and control systems (DCS, PLC, transmitters, valves).
- Plan and coordinate I&C commissioning activities with the team.
- Ensure loop checks, calibration, and functional tests are executed properly.
- Lead troubleshooting and technical adjustments for I&C systems.
- Validate commissioning results and ensure documentation is completed.
- Coordinate with construction and operations teams for smooth handover.
- Report progress and technical issues to the Commissioning Manager.
Profile
Requirements-
- Iraqi national from Basra region.
- Engineering degree or technical diploma in Instrumentation, Control Systems, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in I&C commissioning in oil & gas industry.
- Knowledge of DCS, PLC, transmitters, analyzers, and control valves.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control system documents.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Strong commitment to HSE practices.
