Job description
SPIE Global Service Energy currently hiring for Commissioning Supervisor – Mechanical for Onshore Project in Basra, Iraq.
Its a rotational role- 28/28
Job Purpose-
Lead and supervise commissioning and start-up activities related to Commissioning Supervisor – Mechanical systems on the onshore oil & gas project. Ensure commissioning tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements.
Main Responsibilities-
- Supervise commissioning of mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, rotating/static equipment).
- Plan and coordinate mechanical commissioning activities with the team.
- Ensure mechanical commissioning procedures and HSE standards are applied.
- Lead troubleshooting and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Verify mechanical completion and ensure systems are ready for start-up.
- Manage punch list clearance and documentation for handover.
- Report status and progress to the Commissioning Manager.
Profile
Requirements-
- Iraqi national from Basra region.
- Engineering degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in mechanical commissioning in oil & gas industry.
- Knowledge of pumps, compressors, turbines, rotating/static equipment, and piping systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documents.
- Proven leadership and coordination skills.
- Strong commitment to HSE practices.
