Job description
SPIE Global Service Energy currently hiring for Commissioning Supervisor – Electrical for Onshore Project in Basra, Iraq.
Its a rotational role- 28/28
Job Purpose-
Lead and supervise commissioning and start-up activities related to Commissioning Supervisor – Electrical systems on the onshore oil & gas project. Ensure commissioning tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements.
Main Responsibilities-
- Supervise commissioning of electrical systems (motors, switchgear, transformers, UPS, distribution systems).
- Plan and coordinate electrical commissioning tasks with the team.
- Ensure electrical testing and energization activities are carried out safely.
- Lead troubleshooting and corrective actions for electrical systems.
- Validate commissioning test results and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with operations and construction teams for system handover.
- Report progress and issues to the Commissioning Manager.
Profile
Requirements-
- Iraqi national from Basra region.
- Engineering degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in electrical commissioning in oil & gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of motors, switchgear, transformers, and distribution systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong commitment to HSE practices.
