The ICLA Assistant supports the day-to-day implementation of NRC’s Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) programme. The role focuses on assisting beneficiaries in accessing civil documentation, housing, land and property (HLP) rights, and employment rights through outreach, counselling, and administrative support.
What you will do:
- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.
- Implement delegated and assigned tasks and activities according to plan of action.
- Responsible for organizing and delivery of tasks in line with priorities and standards.
- Ensure that project targets beneficiaries most in need and explore and assess new and better ways to assist.
- Ensure proper filing and archiving of documents.
Specifically, you will:
- Conduct Group Information Sessions (GIS) for ICLA beneficiaries in Mousel governorate, addressing topics such as Civil Documentation, Housing, Land & Property (HLP) rights, and employment rights.
- Assist ICLA Legal Officers by communicating with beneficiaries, gathering information, and arranging appointments for them to engage with courts or state directorates.
- Support ICLA Officers in preparing necessary documentation and monitoring legal cases in courts or relevant administrative bodies.
- Collaborate in creating drafts, copies, and materials for ICLA training and provide co-facilitation.
- Maintain and update beneficiary data in ICLA’s case management tools, periodically analyzing gathered data to identify trends.
- Ensure compliance with ICLA policies, project descriptions, work plans, budgets, and procurement plans.
- Support team to outreach community and boosting KOBLI platform dissemination among communities.

- Experience working in a similar role in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- computer skills, especially in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Fluency in Arabic is essential; proficiency in English is preferred.
Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
- Law university degree is preferred or any related university degree.
- Minimum of 1 years work experience with humanitarian organization in the similar position.
- Demonstrable experience in negotiating with government authorities and/or building owners, and in promoting the interests of vulnerable beneficiaries before such stakeholders.
- Proven skills and experience in case management and conflict resolution
