Summary
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all logistics and supply chain activities supporting the telecom operator’s operations in Erbil and regional branches. This role ensures the efficient planning, warehousing, transportation, and on-time delivery of telecom network equipment, site materials, and spare parts to support network expansion, upgrades, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the rollout, planning, and technical teams to guarantee smooth execution of projects.
- Ensures timely delivery of goods and services while optimizing costs, compliance, and service levels.
- Supervise day-to-day logistics operations, including warehousing, distribution, and transport of telecom equipment, tools, and consumables.
- Supervise logistics support for telecom rollout projects, including site material delivery, tower equipment, power systems, and transmission hardware.
- Actively contributes to rollout project planning sessions to align logistics milestones with technical rollout schedules.
- Coordinate with rollout planners and project managers to align material availability with site schedules.
- Support with transportation routes for safe and timely movement of sensitive telecom equipment to remote or challenging locations.
- Coordinate with procurement, technical, and project departments to ensure materials are available and delivered according to operational needs.
- Implement logistics policies, procedures, and work instructions in line with company standards and telecom industry requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to ensure efficient import/export operations.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and dispatch of telecom equipment to prevent damages and losses.
- Track, evaluate, and report on logistics performance (KPI reports, lead times, delivery accuracy, cost efficiency).
- Resolve logistical challenges between departments, branches, and external vendors.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and customs requirements.
- Consolidate & update weekly and periodic logistics KPI reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
