Job Title: Quality Controller -SAS
Location: Baghdad- Al Muthana
Working hours: Night shift (4:00 pm – 12:00 am)
About the Job:
The Quality Controller is responsible to maintain and enhance product and service quality within the automotive Toyota dealership by implementing and overseeing rigorous quality control measures, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring adherence to Toyota’s standards and regulatory requirements. optimizes customer satisfaction, minimizes defects, and drives operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
Main duties & responsibilities:
- Responsible for quality control, ensuring a high standard of workmanship at all times, and any shortfall in any area to be highlighted to the Service Manager – combined with the agreed actions under Right First Time.
- To Quality control and test drive vehicles after completion of all PDI, Approved Check completing relevant Quality check sheet.
- To Quality control and test drive at least two vehicle services, one general repair, all sales vehicles, and every repeat repair and complete quality control measures daily.
- To take responsibility for sub-contract repairs and ensure an in-house quality check is carried out.
- Complete Quality control records and email them to Land Rover monthly.
- Communicate Quality Check results monthly to all technicians via monthly team meetings.
- Ensure all relevant vehicles are washed and vacuumed to the required standard.
- Liaise with the Workshop Team Leader to identify Technician / Apprentice training needs analysis as a result of the quality measures.
- To meet customers in a friendly and professional manner; to carry out pre-diagnosis and road tests when required to confirm customer’s issues/complaints and update job cards accordingly with full details.
- Responsible for the safekeeping of all vehicles and property directly within your control.
- Communicate regularly with Workshop Team Leader in a clear and concise manner, with regards to quality control of vehicles.
- To ensure that Vehicle protection aids are used at all times.
- To keep the Service Manager informed of any potential problems or customer dissatisfaction.
- To ensure the cleanliness / good housekeeping of your dedicated work area and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure all service books are stamped and service actions are entered correctly.
- To undertake required vehicle movements before the commencement of work and ensure the security of all vehicles at the end of each working day.
- From time to time, fulfill other reasonable requests in the interests of the efficient running of the department and to promote the good name of the company.
- In addition to the above comply with any reasonable request that is made to facilitate the smooth running of the department.
- To maintain excellent working relationships with all representative manufacturers at all times for the dealership’s benefit.
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Mechatronics industrial.
- minimum 3 years of experience in vehicle inspection, quality control, or workshop operations.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- The English language is a Must.
- Must have a Problem-solving skills.
