Responsibilities
As a car rental counter sales agent, you must effectively perform the tasks below.
- Welcome customers as they arrive at the rental counter and assist them with their car rental needs. Listen attentively to customers’ requests and preferences to provide personalized recommendations.
- Answer calls and questions about the available car models, features, rental policies, and pricing.
- Process and confirm online and offline reservations and bookings accurately and efficiently.
- Provide customers with their rental agreement and other relevant documents.
- Make recommendations based on customers’ needs and preferences.
- Provide information about additional services such as baby seats, insurance packages and other service options like upselling.
- Open and close rental agreements and take payments from clients via a range of payment options.
- Accurately and efficiently generate invoices in RentWay and Cobra for the monthly and yearly corporate and individual rental agreements every month.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and recorded.
- Handle cash, refunds, cancellations, and other transactions as needed.
- Submit all the transaction reports to the accounts department and management promptly.
- Listen attentively to customers’ concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Whenever feasible, offer alternatives and solutions. And when necessary, escalate issues to the reporting supervisor or manager.
- Maintain the rental and transaction records properly, prepare all reports accurately, and submit them on time.
- Stay up to date with car rental policies, procedures, and products.
- Participate in Sixt RSA online training and development programs through Sixt campus to improve knowledge and skills.
- Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to contribute to a team environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the rental counter, waiting area, and surrounding premises.
- Assist with customer pick-up and drop-off as needed.
- Participate in quality control and compliance audits as required.
- Ensure that the cars are always prepared for the client. and arrange which vehicles to send for maintenance and cleaning.
- Daily inspection of vehicles in the parking lot and send the status report to headquarters.
- Participate in day-to-day video reclaiming whenever it is required.
- Ready to work after hours, weekends, public holidays and Airport counter when required and directed by the management.
Requirements & Skills:
- College degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the car rental or transportation industry.
- Must have a valid driving license.
- Excellent negotiating and communication skills, as well as the ability to use Outlook and Excel spreadsheets.
- Able to communicate both in written and verbally in English, Arabic and Kurdish.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adopt the car rental’s changing situations and customer demands.
- Candidate should be ready to work an afternoon shift, typically from 12:00 PM to 09:00 PM daily, which includes a one-hour break.
Working Conditions & Benefit Package:
- Working Days & Hours: 6 days per week, 9 hours per day (Including 1 Hour Break)
- Salary: Negotiable, based on qualification & experience.
