We are currently seeking for a Community Liaison Officer (CLO) to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the project and local communities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, including tribal leaders, residents, and local authorities
- Support conflict resolution and facilitate dialogue to address community concerns
- Communicate project updates and respond to questions or issues raised by the community
- Coordinate with the HSE and security teams on community-related matters, including access, safety, and social impact
- Assist in the planning and execution of community engagement programs and awareness campaigns
- Document and report on all community interactions, issues raised, and resolutions provided
Requirements:
- Good knowledge in using Microsoft Word and Office to prepare neccessary daily and weekly reports.
- Strong understanding of local social and cultural dynamics in Basra and surrounding areas
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in Arabic; working knowledge of English is preferred
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to community engagement and land access is a plus
