Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated HR and Recruitment Officer to support our Baghdad branch operations. This role is focused on managing recruitment processes and overseeing day-to-day HR administrative tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and reliable, with a hands-on approach to supporting a fast-paced and growing team.
This role reports directly to the Branch Manager in Baghdad, while also maintaining coordination with the central People & Culture team for documentation, compliance, and process alignment. It is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their HR and recruitment skills within a supportive and dynamic EdTech environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for Baghdad branch roles, including:
- Posting job vacancies and screening applications.
- Coordinating interviews with relevant team leads.
- Supporting offers and hiring formalities.
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and files (physical and digital).
- Support onboarding logistics for new hires in coordination with the central team.
- Monitor attendance and leaves; coordinate with payroll and admin where required.
- Assist in processing employee letters, contracts, and documentation.
- Ensure HR compliance with local labor laws and company procedures.
- Act as the go-to person for all HR-related queries at the branch.
Requirements And Skills
- 6 months - 1 year of experience in HR administration or recruitment.
- Familiarity with recruitment tools, HR databases, and documentation practices.
- Basic knowledge of Iraq labor law and social security processes.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (especially Sheets/Excel).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, or a related field.
