Al-Mesalla.ORG for Human Resources Development is a non-governmental, non-profit civil society organization registered with both the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Iraqi Central Government. Since 2004, Al-Mesalla has been actively operating in Iraq, focusing on civil society empowerment, women’s rights, livelihoods, peace, and justice
- Background
The “Voices of Strength” project promotes women’s participation in elections and peacebuilding. As part of the community voting dialogues, Al-Mesalla is engaging women committee members as Community Facilitators to lead discussions, guide participants, and support open dialogue in their local areas.
- Purpose of the Position
The facilitator will support inclusive, community-based conversations on election participation, targeting women and community members. She will help ensure discussions are productive, respectful, and aligned with the goals of the project.
- Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate structured dialogue sessions in Mosul, Sinjar, and Hamdaniyah.
- Engage participants using inclusive, gender-sensitive methods.
- Guide discussions around women’s leadership and civic engagement.
- Share session outcomes and key reflections with the project team.
- Ensure safe, respectful, and productive space for all voices.
- Required Qualifications
- Member of or closely affiliated with the women’s peace committee.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills.
- Experience or passion for civic engagement, women’s rights, or peacebuilding.
- Ability to coordinate and support local events independently.
- Deliverables
- Facilitation of 3 dialogue sessions (1 per location)
- Short summary/feedback for each session
- Participant engagement notes (verbal or written)
