STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• University degree, in the field of Architecture.
Experiences:
• Minimum 3 years of professional practice covering:
o A broad range of building projects, preferably including conservation work;
o Multiple stages of the architectural design and building development process;
o Office practice, consultant coordination, and on-site supervision.
• Previous experience working in the Erbil Citadel or in culture sector in General. .
• Previous experience with UN and/or other International organizations
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong work ethic, self-directed, motivated, and reliable.
• Detail-oriented, and a highly resourceful problem-solver
• Good command of the following design and rendering packages: CAD (AutoCAD, REVIT, Sketch up), Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office
• Previous work experience with a multilateral or international organization in Erbil Governorate is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal, mediation and dispute resolution abilities and communication skills.
• Respect for social and cultural diversity, environments and living conditions.
• Ability to build and maintain partnerships.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage heavy workloads and to meet tight deadlines, paying close attention to detail and quality of work.
• Strong IT skills including good knowledge of standard office software.
• Knowledge of UNESCOs mission and the Culture Sector’s Programme.
• Sensitivity to the local context.
Language:
• Excellent knowledge of English language (both written and spoken);
• Working knowledge of Kurdish or Arabic language.
