STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• University Degree in Engineering and Degree in Construction related fields
Experiences:
• A minimum of 10 years in construction field, preferably in conservation works.
• Previous experience working in Erbil Citadel
• Previous experience with UN and/or other International organizations
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong work ethic, self-directed, motivated, and reliable.
• Detail-oriented, and a highly resourceful problem-solver
• Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Must be able to read and interpret plans.
• Knowledgeable in all construction trades, and all phases of construction
• Previous work experience with a multilateral or international organization in Mosul Governorate is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal, mediation and dispute resolution abilities and communication skills.
• Respect for social and cultural diversity, environments and living conditions.
• Physical requirements and work environment:
• Physical strength and stamina, ability to lift and carry items.
• Manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination, ability to handle, feel, lift, operate, and move objects, tools, or controls.
• Excellent vision and depth perception.
• Ability to work in a construction environment.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, dig, go up and down stairs and ladders, crouch, and crawl, and lying down.
• Exposure to heat and/or cold, and inclement weather.
• Exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
Language:
• Excellent knowledge (written and oral) of the Kurdish language;
• Excellent knowledge (written and oral) of the Arabic language;
• Good command (written and oral) of the English language.
