Our operating model is built on disciplined execution, clear reporting, and close coordination with terminals, owners, and vessel teams.
The Role
You will oversee day-to-day performance of a portfolio of time-chartered crude tankers, handling voyage monitoring, cargo reconciliation, operational reporting, and coordination with terminals, agents, owners, and masters. This is an on-site role based in our Iraq office, requiring responsiveness beyond standard working hours. Priority hire with immediate start preferred.
What you will do
- Execute daily operations for crude tankers under time charter, tracking vessel movements, performance, and exceptions in real time.
- Coordinate closely with vessel masters, owners, and port agents across designated ports, with a strong focus on Iraq terminals.
- Lead cargo reconciliation at load and discharge, ensuring accuracy of volumes, logs, and records.
- Maintain voyage logs, daily reports, and compliance documentation; support STS preparations and checklists when required.
- Relay critical updates and risks to management and escalate weather, operational, or compliance issues as needed.
- Monitor ROB and consumption against charter party warranties and support bunkering coordination and documentation when applicable.
What you bring
Must-have
- 5+ years in tanker operations on the owner or owner-operator side (agency-only backgrounds are not in scope).
- STS experience and strong cargo documentation discipline.
- Practical time-charter operations experience with charter party awareness.
- Strong Excel proficiency; Veson IMOS or similar is a plus.
- Calm under pressure, reliable, responsive, with clear written reporting and strong follow-through.
Nice-to-have
- Direct exposure to Iraq terminals and port coordination; UAE experience is a plus.
- Prior seafaring experience (deck officer or higher).
- Veson IMOS or similar is a plus.
Location
Basra, Iraq (on-site). Reports to the Operations Manager.
