Position: Kitchen Chef
Working Hours: Shift-based – either 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM, depending on duties (w/ breaks in-between)

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a dedicated Kitchen Chef who speaks English, has solid knowledge of Italian cuisine and kitchen standards, and can lead and coordinate small teams when needed. This role is perfect for someone passionate about delivering high-quality dishes while helping maintain a smooth and well-organized kitchen. Don Gennaro is always on the lookout for passionate cooks who aspire to build a career in the hospitality industry.
Kurdish speakers and locals are especially welcome, as many of our guests speak the language — but it’s not a must. English is necessary for the role.
Your Day-to-Day Will Include:
- Preparing and cooking a variety of Italian dishes to high standards
- Managing kitchen operations during your shift and coordinating with other kitchen staff
- Maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times
- Assisting with stock checks, inventory, and ingredient prep
- Supporting the Head Chef and stepping up to lead when required
- Working closely with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate service
What You Should Bring:
- Prior experience in a professional Italian kitchen is preferred, but high passion and exposure to Italian cuisine is also acceptable
- Strong understanding of kitchen organization and time management
- Some leadership or team management experience (formal or informal)
- Good level of spoken English is a must
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a clean, professional appearance
- Passion for food and a willingness to grow with the team
