Job Summary:
Gateway ICT Solutions is looking for detail-oriented Junior QA Engineer to join our QA team and play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your insights and testing efforts will directly impact the user experience.
As a Junior QA Engineer, you will work closely with our development team to design, execute, and continuously improve manual testing processes for mobile and web applications. Your work will directly impact the user experience by identifying issues early, ensuring our users enjoy a stable, secure, and seamless experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute test cases (manual) across web and mobile applications.
- Review product requirements and specifications to provide timely feedback.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using tools like Jira or similar.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to ensure quality at every stage of the product lifecycle.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Create and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation.
- Participate in QA planning and test case review meetings.
Requirements:
- Educational background in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication in English.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical thinking.
- Experience testing mobile apps, web applications, or backend APIs is a big plus.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the QA domain.
- Ability to understand user needs, identify potential issues, design relevant test cases, and write detailed bug reports.
- Arabic and/or Kurdish language skills are a plus. However, English is our primary internal language.
