Key Responsibilities
Material Handling & Inventory Management
- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and specifications against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Inspect materials for quality, damages, and compliance with approved standards.
- Organize and store construction materials systematically in the warehouse and yard.
- Issue materials to site teams based on approved material request forms.
- Maintain proper labeling, tracking, and shelf-life management of materials.
Documentation & Software Use
- Record all receipts and issuances in warehouse management or inventory software.
- Prepare daily and weekly material stock reports for site management.
- Ensure all records are accurate, updated, and easily retrievable.
- Assist with monthly physical inventory checks and reconcile with system data.
Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and site engineering teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Follow company policies, health & safety procedures, and proper handling practices for all construction materials.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor or Project Engineer.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or technical certificate (Diploma in logistics/supply chain preferred).
- 2–3 years of experience in warehouse or material handling, preferably in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with construction materials (concrete, steel, electrical, mechanical, finishing materials, etc.).
- Basic computer literacy and experience with warehouse/inventory software (e.g., ERP, Excel, or specialized systems).
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and work in a fast-paced construction environment.
