Context/Reporting line:
Under the general guidance of the Senior Programme Coordinator (Peacebuilding and Stabilization), and the direct supervisor Programme Officer (Reintegration and Returnees), the incumbent will be responsible for the following responsibilities:
Core Functions / Responsibilities
1. Assist in the implementation of reintegration activities for returnees, by providing logistical and administrative support in the field.
2. Collect data and information on returnee profiles and reintegration needs in target areas.
3. Support the coordination and monitoring of community-based projects (QIPs) and reintegration initiatives.
4. Assist in organizing community meetings, dialogue sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities to support reintegration efforts.
5. Coordinate with local partners and authorities to facilitate service delivery and case follow-up on individual returnee case.
6. Document case stories, lessons learned, and reintegration progress reports.
7. Contribute to regular reporting on field activities and identified challenges.
8. Support monitoring and evaluation activities related to reintegration interventions.
9. Travel regularly to operational sites in Anbar, Ninewa, Salah al-Din, Diyala, and other areas as required.
10. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field from an accredited academic university or institution with three years of relevant professional experience or;
• Completed high school diploma with five years of relevant professional experience.
Experience and Skills:
• Relevant experience in humanitarian or development work, preferably in reintegration or returnee programs.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations in conflict-affected areas is an advantage.
• Experience providing support to the implementation of field activities, including administrative and logistical assistance.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Good reporting and communication skills.
Languages:
• Fluency in English, and Arabic is required.
• Working knowledge of Kurdish is an advantage.
