Responsibilities:
As an Fleet Specialist, you must effectively perform the tasks below.
- Make arrangements for the new cars to be inspected (PPI), marked and fitted with GPS.
- Make vehicle arrangements for PVI and yearly renewals and maintain accurate documentation.
- Monitor the movements of fleet vehicles using the GPS tracking system and respond appropriately to any suspicious movements.
- Conduct regular inspections of the existing fleet to identify any issues or necessary repairs.
- Arrange for the routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Attend fleet vehicle breakdowns and accident cases when and where needed.
- Arrange for the diagnose and repair any issues with the fleet vehicles, including electrical, mechanical, and software-related problems by coordinating with the service centers concerned.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure the fleet is running at optimal levels. This includes scheduling regular maintenance tasks and tracking the completion of these tasks.
- Make work orders, assess estimates and arrange to obtain approvals from the management.
- Monitor and control the costs associated with fleet maintenance, including parts and labor. Identify areas for cost savings and make recommendations to management.
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the fleet is well-maintained and any issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Ensure the fleet is in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards of the SIXT, such as vehicle inspections, emissions standards, and safety standards.
- Generate and maintain reports on fleet maintenance activities, including maintenance history, repair costs, and vendor performance.
- Generate, update, and provide the management with a monthly fleet status and maintenance reports.
- Create and submit monthly GPS reports to management.
Requirements:
- College degree or diploma in Automotive (electromechanics).
- Able to communicate both written and verbal in English, Arabic and Kurdish.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in fleet maintenance in a car rental, automotive workshop or transportation industry.
- Must have a valid driving license.
- Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, electrical systems, and diagnostic techniques.
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex issues with fleet vehicles.
- Knowledge of best practices of preventive maintenance and experience in implementing preventive maintenance programs.
- Experience managing costs and identifying areas for cost savings.
- Flexible regarding work schedules; after office hours, including weekends and holidays, and visiting other SIXT locations when required.
Working Conditions & Benefit Package:
- Working Days & Hours: 6 days per week, 9 hours per day (Including 1 Hour Break)
- Salary: Negotiable, based on qualification & experience.
