Description
The Platform Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and support of the merchant acquiring platform. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a strong understanding of payment processing. The administrator will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure an efficient merchant onboarding process that adheres to regulations.
Responsibilities of a Platform Administrator
- Monitor the performance of the platform, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the platform, working with other teams as needed.
- Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within the platform.
- Maintain system documentation and update it as needed.
- Perform regular system troubleshooting
- Implement security measures to protect the platform from threats.
- Participate in the installation, configuration, and upgrade of the platform software and related systems.
- Provide technical support to internal and external users.
- Oversee aspects of service delivery, especially assisting the Customer Support team with merchant inquiries.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest platform updates and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with Company rules and regulations with product expansion
- Participate in management meetings to address challenges – identify enhancements and opportunities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new features and functionalities.
- Collaborate with the sales team on merchant onboarding to ensure a smooth process and compliance with all regulatory requirements (KYC/AML etc.).
- Serve as a key point of contact for inter-departmental communication regarding the platform. Closely collaborate with Sales, IT, Compliance, AML, Finance, and Management teams to ensure smooth operations and efficient problem resolution.
- Manage Operations Team, provide training and transfer knowledge on the platform.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Proven experience in manging a platform
- Strong understanding of payment processing, regulatory compliance (PCI DSS, KYC/AML)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with banks and other Payment Service Providers
- Understanding of transaction processing and Iraqi Payment Service Provider Law
